چکیده

To accelerate the design cycle for analog circuits and mixed-signal systems, we have proposed a top-down, constraint-driven design methodology [1]. In this paper we present a design which demonstrates the two principal advantagesthat this methodology provides– a high probability for first silicon which meets all specifications and fast design times. We examine the design of three different 10-bit digital-to-analog (D/A) converters beginning from their performance and functional specifications and ending with the testing of the fabricated parts. Critical technology mismatch information gathered from the testing phase is provided.

Top-Down, Constraint-Driven Design Methodology Based Generation of a Second Order Σ-∆ A/D Converter

To accelerate the design cycle for analog circuits and mixed-signal systems, we have proposed a top-down, constraint-driven design methodology [1]. In this paper we present a complete design flow to illustrate this design methodology as it applies to the design of a second order sigma-delta (Σ-∆) analog-to-digital (A/D) converter. We start from its performance and functional specifications and ...

Improved current-source sizing for high-speed high-accuracy current steering D/A converters

This paper describes a design methodology for the basic current source cell circuit of high-speed high-accuracy current steering DIA conveners taking into account mismatching in all the transistors of the cell. Previous works consider arbitrary safety margins in the sizing process. The presented approach allows a more accurale selection of the optimal design point. The design methodology is ill...

Interval Analysis of Controllable Workspace for Cable Robots

Workspace analysis is one of the most important issues in the robotic parallel manipulator design. ‎However, ‎the unidirectional constraint imposed by cables causes this analysis more challenging in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators. Controllable workspace is one of the general workspace in the cabledriven redundant parallel manipulators due to the dependency on geometry parameter...

Generic parity generators design using LTEx methodology: A quantum-dot cellular automata based approach

Quantum-dot Cellular Automata (QCA) is a prominent paradigm that is considered to continue its dominance in thecomputation at deep sub-micron regime in nanotechnology. The QCA realizations of five-input Majority Voter based multilevel parity generator circuits have been introduced in recent years. However, no attention has been paid towards the QCA instantiation of the generic (n-bit) even and ...
